Stephanie Hatzenbuehler, LCSW (she/her)
Hello!
Stephanie is the owner of Broadtree Integrative Counseling and a licensed clinical social worker. As an experienced psychotherapist with nearly 20 years of direct clinical practice working with individuals and couples and five years of experience as a clinical supervisor (Maine), Stephanie feels enormous gratitude for her work. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah in 2000 and her Master of Social Work from the University of New England in 2006. In December 2024, she received a certificate in Pychedelic Assisted Therapy from Naropa University.
Stephanie is an LGBTQIA+ and global majority (BIPOC) ally and works to create a safe space. Her approach is a blend of many evidence-based disciplines and traditions and is grounded in her experience as a medical researcher and spiritual seeker. She has trained and gathered wisdom from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT) for couples, mindfulness and contemplative practices, somatic healing through the psycho-sensory approach of The Havening Technique, holotropic breathwork, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) integration, and grief-tending with Francis Weller.
Creating a holistic and integrated psychotherapy practice for adults and couples in Idaho’s Wood River Valley is a source of great pride and satisfaction for Stephanie who was born and raised in Southeastern Idaho. After living, working, and studying in Salt Lake City, Seattle, and Portland, ME, she has learned to find enormous joy and inspiration from the places she has called home. Stephanie is happy to be in Idaho with her family and acknowledges the ancestral lands of the Shoshone/Bannock indigenous people.
Stephanie enjoys her work, especially as she gets to witness her clients become more of themselves as they access their own healing wisdom. The most important element is creating safe, healing relationships in a therapeutic environment where people can feel supported.
When not at work, Stephanie can be found co-faciliating grief vigils at The Flourish Foundation, cross country skiing, hiking, baking bread, sitting by the river, gardening, visiting the Oregon coast, going to the theater, and watching football with her family and friends.
Licensed in the State of Idaho.
